Gumball 3000: The Ultimate Adventure Rally
Founded in 1999 by British entrepreneur Maximillion Cooper, the Gumball 3000 isn’t your typical race — it’s a high-octane, globe-trotting celebration that blends supercars, music, fashion, celebrities, and pure adventure. Every year, roughly 120 teams from over 40 countries pay to participate in a multi-day, multi-thousand-mile journey on public roads. The 2026 edition — the 27th annual rally — is the “Road to the World Cup,” running from Miami to Mexico City (June 5–11) and covering approximately 3,000 miles.
What started as a wild idea has grown into one of the world’s most glamorous automotive events, attracting A-list drivers, musicians, athletes, and influencers while delivering unforgettable experiences at every stop.

Why Bandera? It's The Last U.S. Stop Before Mexico
This year, Bandera — proudly known as the Cowboy Capital of the World — has the distinct honor of hosting the final U.S. stop before the rally crosses the border into Mexico. On Monday, June 8, 2026, the streets of downtown Bandera (especially 11th Street and The Salt Block) will transform into a high-energy festival from roughly 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. No big-city gridlock. No massive crowds. Just pure Texas hospitality meeting international glamour right in the heart of the Hill Country.
Raising Money & Giving Back — The Gumball 3000 Foundation
Beyond the spectacle, Gumball 3000 has a serious purpose. The official Gumball 3000 Foundation (launched in 2013) works to support underprivileged youth worldwide through education, arts, and recreational infrastructure projects. During every rally, Maximillion Cooper and the team organize charity auctions, galas, and community events that have raised millions for worthy causes.
Towns along the route often see a major economic and cultural boost — and Bandera is no exception. Local organizers hope the global spotlight from this stop will help fund a much-needed roof cover over the rodeo arena, allowing the Cowboy Capital to host even more year-round events, concerts, and gatherings.

Texas Salt Co. on 11th Street — Your Front-Row Seat
Our Texas Salt Co. property sits right in the heart of the action on 11th Street — the epicenter of the Gumball 3000 stop in Bandera. On June 8th, the streets around us will be closed exclusively for supercar parking and security, meaning our factory, the Salt Block overnight suites, and our Bandera retail store will be completely surrounded by over 100 exotic cars.

The official Gumball 3000 organizers are setting up their own branded merch booth directly in front of our retail store, where they’ll be selling exclusive Gumball 3000 swag all day. Come hang out on our property — you’ll have shaded seating, cold drinks, snacks from Salty’s, and an unbeatable front-row view of the supercars, Western parade, and all the excitement. We’re also excited to offer one lucky winner a 2-night stay at The Salt Block (Suite #4 – “The Cowboy”) so they can experience the full Bandera magic during this historic weekend.
